Louise Bishop Salot  Age: 85,  died March 12, 2015  

Louise Bishop Salot, 85, of Colonial Heights passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday March 12, 2015. She was born in Petersburg, Virginia on February 9, 1930 to the late Robert Benjamin and Alma Louise Clark Bishop, and was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Eley and three brothers, Melvin Bishop, Russell Bishop, and Leroy Bishop. Mrs. Salot was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and a special Petersburg High School reunion group. She loved to laugh and loved to spend time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 61 ½ years William J. Salot, a daughter Sue Williams and husband Tom, two sons Jeff Salot, David Salot and wife Brenda, a grandson Cody LaRue, and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday March 17, 2015 in Blandford Cemetery Petersburg, Virginia with the Reverend Dr. Andy Brockelman officiating. A funeral procession will leave the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The family will receive friends Monday March 16, 2015 from 6:00- 8:00 p.m.at the funeral home.
